Does ProVision® Managed Care cover everyday IT support for my network?
|
*ProVision® Premier is our all-inclusive solution which includes everyday IT support issues with your network in addition to network monitoring, routine maintenance, and project work. Under ProVision® Basic and ProVision® Gold contracts, day-to-day support is billed separately at our standard hourly billing rate(s).

Are there minimum requirements for my environment to be eligible for ProVision® support?
|
The minimum requirements and prerequisites for ProVision® managed care are listed below:
- Dedicated Internet access via high-speed connection (Cable, DSL, XDATA, T1, T3, OC-3). A static IP is not required, but is recommended.
- Servers that support remote restarting.
- A Microsoft Windows© 2000/2003/2008 Active Directory environment where all workstations/servers are joined to the domain is ideal.
- Microsoft Windows© 2000, XP, Vista, or 7 machines should support group policy.

Is there an installation/startup charge to get going on the monitoring service?
|
There is a setup and installation charge for ProVision managed care, however our current promotion (through March 31, 2010) will waive all setup fees! Contact a TCS account manager for full details.

Do you provide reporting on my managed service?
|
YES! All of our ProVision customers receive access to the ProVision systems dashboard, which gives you 24x7 access to see the status of your monitored servers and workstations. In addition, you'll receive a weekly summary report via e-mail.

How are you notified of problems with my network?
|
The instant one of your servers or workstations has an issue, a service ticket is automatically created at our TCS SupportDesk. Once we receive the notification, we will either contact you to find out how you want the issue handled (under ProVision Basic) or fix the issue without any action on your part (under ProVision Gold and Premier). Regardless of which plan you choose, we'll work with you to develop the program that works for you.

What exactly will you monitor on my servers and workstations?
|
For Windows environments, our monitoring agent will monitor:
- PING - connectivity to the network
- Critical system services
- TCP service
- Website check - is your Website up?
- Excessive file sizes (important for Exchange and SQL databases)
- Bandwidth monitoring
- Performance monitoring (processor utilization, queue length, memory usage, network interface, physical disk)
- SNMP Checks
- Anti-virus definitions
- Backup check
- Drive space consumption
- Microsoft Exchange check

How secure is the ProVision service?
|
Our agent, remote support viewer, and dashboard is protected by 128-bit encryption for Windows XP and TWF 256 (Twofish 256 key encryption) & DH (Diffie-Hellman) key exchange (using a 512 prime) for Windows Vista/7. A unique MD5 encrypted ID is created for the Remote Agent based on the account information. Information about your systems is ALWAYS encrypted. Therefore, it is impossible for a third-party to intercept any communication.
